American Samoa Flag
This flag was adopted on April 24, 1960. The colors of the flag are red, white, blue, gold and brown. The flag was designed in1960. The designer is local government leaders and the U.S. Army Institute of Heraldry. The design is a red-edged white triangle pointing towards the left side. The bald eagle is clutching a war club and fly-whisk. The upper and lower triangles are dark blue. All outdoor flags are finished with heading and brass grommets (H&G). PH denotes pole hem for indoor and parade use. PHF denotes pole hem and gold fringe.
